Wow, this one has been clogging up my artistic gears for the last 2 months. 75 hours, give or take 5 hours.
This was supposed to be a simple Black Death-based illustrated letter, (the letter A) BUT NO, it became a bloated opus about who knows what, with enough religious symbolism to sedate a golden cow. Oh well. If Suzi 9mm doesn't give me the Daily Deviation for this one, I'm cutting myself in the bathtub. (jk! omg! don't cry!)
This was made with Copics, Copic white ink, Blattgold (gold sheet), varnish and glue, gold ink and silver ink.
Depicted is: A flag-waving procession, a demon riding a pole, two harpy eagles, one with a victim, a green dragon/demon tormenting a plague victim, a disgusted Plague Doctor, another victim and its baby, a man holding the Bill of Mortality (body count), a painting with a gold border in the bottom left hand corner, a Bosch-esque demon drinking blood from a small victim getting ripped up by zombie dogs, a minotaur, and a hand holding a padlock. WHEW.
I don't think this is applicable for Mature Content, if it is let me know.
